Planning Your Website Redesign
When cruising around the web, do you ever notice how many sites are out of date? You can tell just by looking that they could use a redesign. You’re thinking about redesigning your website, so I am going to lay down some important guidelines (or thoughts at the very least), for what you should consider when hiring a web design company, or when planning your redesign.
Wordpress or Joomla For My Website
We get this question on a daily basis when our clients call for a free consultation about their web design goals and directions that they should take. There are setbacks and benefits to each platform, but the answer lies within your goals for your website.
First off, let’s talk about some general things. If your website is informational, with not alot of user interactivity and you’d like to include a blog, wordpress is probably the best option. Wordpress is slightly easier to use than Joomla and will allow you a wide range of add ons later. If your website is more than informational, and you’d like to have user login systems, content for registered users, slide shows, ecommerce or anything else that would complicate the design process it is generally easier to use Joomla.
